FDM printed MAV airframe

I love seeing new FDM 3D printed airframe designs. The wing in this video flies beautifully as a slope soarer. The wing's skin is ABS which must give it quite a bit of weight. The advantage of a fully FDM airframe is manufacture is very simple, requiring single raw material. Check out their website.

I'm experimenting with a traditional built up type design for a mostly 3D printed 1m blended wing with balsa/monokote skin and carbon fiber (or wood) spar. That means the airframe will be printed in many pieces, rib by rib, and assembled together to form the airframe. By adding a few different raw materials, for wing spar and skin, one can greatly reduce the weight of the airframe. I'm considering balsa and/or covering for skin. I'm restricted in that it must reliably print in my Replicator 2 (PLA).
